Chris Buck’s Chris Bucks

I’m pleased to announce that we’re mailing out the printed promo for the “Chris Buck’s Chris Bucks” series this week.

This project was inspired by a delightful note I received in 2000 from a Georgian-era furniture dealer in Kent, UK…named Chris Buck.

From then until 2018, I sought out and photographed all the Chris Bucks I could track down. In this parallel universe there was a Chris Buck studying philosophy, a farmer, a detective and even a country-reggae band who shared my name. Some of the portraits of my doppelgängers give a genuine glimpse into the character of the sitter, but the best let you peer into mine.
