As someone with a photography background a big part of my video directing style is placing an emphasis on sound and motion. I love to create soundscapes, and to think through how the story unfolds over time. However, this project required a more low-key approach, essentially making gently moving still photographs.
Given our busy day, this simpler method was advantageous. We created effective, visually satisfying spots quickly.
Special thanks to cinematographer George Wieser, who agreed to all my requests and often added extra flourishes to enhance the shots!
