The current issue of Golf Digest revisits my work with look-alikes, with our fake Tiger Woods doing a selfie at a Perkin’s Restaurant (see some context here).

It was great fun making the photo illustrations to accompany Dan Jenkins’ fake interview with Tiger Woods, but not as fun as reading Woods response to it. As a guest blogger on The Player’s Tribute (a part of Derek Jeter’s website) there is a nearly 600 word rebut to the Golf Digest story. Sports and business press are of course more than happy to comment on Tiger’s response.

Christine Brennan of USA Today puts it best when she writes, “Fails as parody? Actually, I think we can be assured it’s a complete success as parody because Tiger is so upset about it.”

This seems like a perfect excuse to show some outtakes from this series, mostly shot in 2007.

Top Image: James McKnight isn’t Tiger Woods. A great imagined interview with the great Tiger Woods.

Second Image: Chris America isn’t Madonna (referencing her Kabbalah exploration).

Third Image: Paul Cooper isn’t Bill Gates (at a Furries party).

Fourth Image: Pavel Sfera isn’t Bono, with Johnny Tyrone as a custom’s officer (baggage inspection in returning from an Africa trip).

Fifth Image: Sean Gallagher isn’t Warren Beatty, pictured with Agustina

Bottom Image: Tiffany Claus isn’t Angelina Jolie, as a cat lady.
