UNEASY Moby
Moby may hold the record for the number of sitting I’ve done with someone - we’ve shot together 4 times. Each of the images shown here is from a different session.
Pat Boone and Moby had both released heavy metal inspired albums so I pitched the idea of doing a story of them together to New York Magazine. Not only were they unconventional music figures from different eras, they were both practicing Christians, making for a fascinating connection.
I came up with some fun rock star cliché set-ups (like having them throw a TV out of a hotel room window) but this one with the Flying V guitars was my assistant’s Paul Costello’s idea (and he went on to being a successful photographer himself, not surprisingly).
