UNEASY A$AP

By an odd coincidence of timing, I was set to take care of my daughter at the same time as this last-minute shoot with A$AP Rocky. We had a babysitter lined up, but she couldn’t get to us until partway through the session.

So my five-year-old, Olive, came and (mostly) sat quietly while my assistants and I prepared the set for the subject. When A$AP arrived, he was introduced to everyone, including my daughter, and I asked her to do a drawing of the shoot to keep her occupied while we worked.

At a quiet point in the shoot, her babysitter announced that Olive was finished with the drawing and wanted to show it to A$AP. He was quite taken with it and asked Olive if he could have it. She shyly nodded yes. He told us, in all earnestness, that he would use the drawing as art for an upcoming project. I’m curious to see if Olive will be willing to license it.
