When I present ideas that are a little out of left field, I don’t over explain, I just ask—because the more you explain, the more likely they are to overthink it and say no. You want to present an idea like this as if it’s very reasonable and normal.

We did the peeing on the backdrop shot at the end, and we’d had him drink a lot of water so he would actually be able to, uh, deliver. So, when he was changing for other shots, I did implore him not to go to the bathroom.
