UNEASY Jake Tapper

As the launch of the UNEASY book and exhibition at the Krause Gallery wound down on a cold February night my First Assistant pulled up in a vehicle full of gear and we were off to D.C. to photograph Jake Tapper for GQ Magazine.

Early the next morning as Jake was in make up I gave him my literally just published monograph, and happily he was impressed - a new subject wooing tool was born!

The sitting went great - he was attentive and said yes to most things - but as we chatted in his eccentric office (decorated with the posters and memorabilia of failed political campaigns) I saw that my book was set on the table under a pair of running shoes. When I pointed this out he laughed and casually said that he didn’t put the shoes there and certainly wouldn’t have as he was pleased to have received the book…and then he proved it by immediately posting a Tweet talking it up, “Very cool pics in the book Uneasy by @MrCHRIS_BUCK.”
